A fantastic preview evening in Panningen at the DOK6 theatre

DOK6 theatre and cinema is situated in Panningen, Limburg, in the municipality of Peel en Maas. Last week saw the theatre’s preview evening. No fewer than nine acts gave a taster of the upcoming theatre season. Acting The Maggot were given the honour of bringing the evening to a close in style – and they certainly succeeded!
The new theatre show *Irish Rebels and Rovers* will be performed in 25 theatres across the country. However, Acting The Maggot will perform in Limburg just once, in Panningen in the municipality of Peel en Maas. That will be right at the end of their theatre tour on 29 January 2027. That still seems a long way off, with the summer holidays still fresh in our minds. Nevertheless, over a third of the tickets have already been sold in Panningen, partly thanks to last Thursday’s preview evening.
As well as cabaret and magic, there’ll certainly be music to enjoy in Panningen next year. Acting The Maggot are one of the bands set to perform, and they’ll be presenting their theatre show *Irish Rebels & Rovers*. A little taster of the show already led to a particularly lively party last week.
Acting The Maggot: the highlight of the evening
The local broadcaster Omroep Peel en Maas was there to capture it all. They described Acting The Maggot’s performance as follows:
“Acting The Maggot provided the musical finale. The Dutch band plays Irish music and presented a preview of their theatre tour *Irish Rebels and Rovers*. The show centres on songs and stories about Irish rebels and robbers, with room for festive music alongside the traditional sounds.
That performance also made a big impression on the audience. One visitor even called the final act one of the highlights of the evening: ‘I thought that last one was really cool.’”
That’s what we do it for, of course. Watch the local broadcaster’s summary of the evening below:
